Proton X70 Breaks Its All-Time Sales Record in Pakistan

Proton X70 Breaks Time  By selling more than 500 X70s, Al-Haj Automotive marked an impressive milestone in October 2022. According to a report from Autojournal.pk, this represents the SUV’s highest sales total since it first appeared in Pakistan.

Al-Haj Proton has had a difficult two years, especially because of protracted delivery delays brought on by logistical difficulties brought on by COVID-19.

Nevertheless, despite Pakistan’s ongoing economic unrest, Al-Haj Automotive’s recent increase in sales is a sign of the company’s production-related ascent to form.

The Proton X70 was introduced by Al-Haj Automotive in December 2020 as a direct rival to the Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson, and MG HS.

There are two types of it: Executive and Premium. A 1.5-liter, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine in both variations cranks out 176 horsepower and 255 Nm of torque. The front wheels or all the wheels can get power from the 7-speed DCT automatic transmission (depending on the variant).

The Proton X70 includes a push-start button, steering-wheel controls, power-folding mirrors, a day/night rearview mirror, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, and other cutting-edge driver aids as standard equipment.

Recently, Al-Haj Proton revealed a unique offer for certain Proton X70 buyers. Customers who have balance payment letters dated between August 4 and September 30 would receive a “one-time waiver” of an additional Rs 200,000 on the cost of the X70, per the notification.

Remember that the X70 has a starting price of Rs. 6.74 million and a maximum price of Rs. 7.19 million. Al-Haj Proton’s discount on both variants may have boosted sales of the X70.
